The very first track is an open karting track. Use this track to learn how the car handles. Turn the car with quick, precise presses of the left or right button. Long, slow presses will soon have your car spinning.
-
When you turn at speed, you car will skid. Learn to control this. Look at the direction the car is facing - this is the direction it will go in when it stops skidding. Use the accelerator button (up arrow) to determine how long the skid will be. If you back off (i.e. release the accelerator button) the skid will be shorter. If you keep accelerating during a skid, your skid will be long and wide. Use quick taps on the left or right arrows to make fine adjustments to a skid. Do not keep turning the same way - your car will spin.

Most circuits cannot be completed at full speed - you need to brake for some of the tighter turns and chicanes. Braking is automatic when you lift off the accelerator (up arrow button). Learn to break slightly in advance of tight chicanes, and then accelerate while turning into them. It is possible to drift at speed round most obstacles using this technique.

As you progress though the game, the drones and the Black Mamba herself will become more aggressive with their racing. You need to expect them to try blocking your path or even ramming you off the track. Plan your overtaking on wider areas of the track. Try selling them a dummy by looking to overtake one side; only switching sides when they try to block. Or just play dirty yourself and ram them first.

Look after your car. Each knock gives you damage - more so at higher speeds. Driving over rocks, lava or even through sand traps can hurt your car.
